I am hoping that someone may have some across this issue and know a solution, or maybe roll back on the BIOS is needed. For some reason the motherboard wont/cant see them. I have also borrowed an 8gb Samsung stick from a friend and had same results. I have sent the memory back and had replacements so I am sure it is not an issue there.

Get beep error code saying no memory installed Machine sarts and runs fine, but only shows 4gb memory in both BIOS & windows The two i have are crucial 12800 as it happens, but even alone the motherboard is not recognising them. My apologies, maybe i wasnt clear in my initial post - the details i posted there are of my current memory that works just fine, it is when i try and use the 2 sticks i have that are 8gb each it fails. They sell guaranteed compatible 8GB modules. If you live in the UK or Europe see the following link. They sell guaranteed compatible 8GB actual issue is that you have installed two memory modules that are not absolutely identical.

Did you enable XMP (DOCP if you use an Asus motherboard) When it's enabled you should see the DRAM Frequency at 1200MHz. If you live in the UK or Europe see the following link. It's DRAM so you can double it, though it's still too low and should still be around 1066 DRAM.

SPECCY DRAM FREQUENCY UPGRADE

But remember don't upgrade with specs alone. The Odense motherboard that is installed in your desktop PC does suport a max of 16 GB. 1600 still seems pretty low because most of the sticks I've seen since looking are like 2000+. The lower the speed, the lower the CAS timings. They are modules guaranteed to be compatible with your PC. DDR stands for D ouble D ata R ate so your speed is actually 1600.

If you want 8GB and the upgrade to work then you need to install a pair of Crucial 4GB DDR3L-1866 UDIMMĬT51264BD186DJ modules. They stand to lose their reputation when they guarantee compatibility and you discover that it is not the case. Unless your pockets are infinitely deep and amount of patience you have is infinite, let the vendors and memory manufacturers do the testing. Matching memory modules with specs alone, just does not always work, as you have discovered. In the information you have provided, I see that one is Samsung and the other is Crucial. JEDEC #6 800.0 MHz 11.0 11 11 28 39 actual issue is that you have installed two memory modules that are not absolutely identical. You need to OC the uncore (used to be called bus back in the smb days) to get benefits of 1600 on phenom IIs. JEDEC #6 800.0 MHz 11.0 11 11 28 39 1.350 V Speccy always reports ddr variant ram at 1/2 its effective speed. In BIOS target DRAM frequency is 3600 and DOCP is 3600 MHz. CPU-Z and Ryzen Master show that DRAM frequency is 1800 MHz, which is a half of what it should be. JEDEC #5 761.9 MHz 10.0 10 10 27 37 1.350 V However, different sources on my pc show different information from what I've expected from this kit. It has been suggested to me there is a setting in the BIOS to restrict hardware changes (large companies use it to stop people taking upgrades home) but i cant see anything.įrequency CAS# Latency RAS# To CAS# RAS# Precharge tRAS tRC Voltage

SPECCY DRAM FREQUENCY UPDATE

I think I'm going to buy the exact model of ram I have already preinstalled in my laptop (crucial I guess), also try to update bios and I'll see, if it works, but Im afraid it won't.It has had an upgrade already and I have the 12800 spec ram, details below.

Unfortunately I've already sent the ram back in exchange for my money back, so I can't try Speccy with the second ram plugged in. RAM not setting to the correct frequency Ive just upgraded my PC and set the RAM to 3200Mhz which it is suppose to be able to handle. And it's "officialy" compatible module from reputable brand, not some chinese knockoff. What worries me is that when i take off the original ram and put other one in the same slot, the system wouldn't boot at all, just black screen. I've also checked with the Kingston compatibility utility before I've purchased the ram module. I have Win 10 64-bit, so this shouldn't be a problem.
